Festival Academy 2022
The “Festival Academy” is dedicated to providing talented and passionate youth with opportunities to develop their gifts and skills and to expand their knowledge by participating in activities bringing together education, innovation, art and culture.
The multi-disciplinary platform of the Festival Academy is envisioned to offer a diversity of activities throughout the year and is particularly geared to reaching out and engaging young people. The Festival Academy programming features a variety of formats, including workshops, contests, forums, performance events, art projects, author talks, open lectures, masterclasses and exchange visits – with activities spanning a wide range of genres and fields, such as performing and visual arts, writing and cultural journalism, art and tech innovation, architecture and urban design, archeology and heritage, creative industries and entrepreneurship, public speaking, cultural leadership and international cultural diplomacy.
With a view to the Tirana European Youth Capital 2022 agenda, the Festival Academy is engaged to contribute through the organization of the series of youth-focused events and activities “IsrAlb Youth Days 2022”.
This year, Festival Academy will bring in Tirana world renowned artists and intellectuals, who will share their immense experience and exceptional recommendations through masterclass lessons in fields such as classical ballet, culinary arts, chess activities, instrumental music, and the “Kodály Method” in music education. Furthermore, established and emerging authors with be invited for engaging talks with the Albanian youth under the auspices of the “Meet the Author” event series.
Piano MasterClass
The Festival Academy opens its doors to the new generation of music students, instrumentalists and art critics and all those young people interested in art and culture – through the organization of the first Piano Masterclass at the “Jordan Misja” Artistic Lyceum in Tirana.
Under the lecture of the award-winning Albanian pianist Almira Emiri, a fantastic Masterclass was held at the “Jordan Misja” Artistic Lyceum on 1st of November 2021. Based on her experience in Austria, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Israel and many other European scenes, Almira brought a very interesting and intensive seminar for young art students.
Almira Emiri completed her higher education studies at the “Franz Liszt” University in Budapest (Hungary) and the University of Arts in Graz (Austria). Amongst others, she has studied with Eugen Jakab, Annamária Bodoky-Krause and Milana Chernyavska, while also participating in Masterclasses by renowned professors such as Dimitrij Bashkirov, Imre Rohmann, Alexander Satz, Rudolf Kehrer and Vitaly Margulis. Almira has a rich and diverse repertoire of concert performances as recitalist pianist and in chamber music.
